பாடல் 291 - திருத்தணிகை 

முகத்தைமி னுக்கிக - எனும் பாடலின் இரண்டாம் பாகம்  

புகைத்தழ லைக்கொடு திரிபுர மெரிபட

நகைத்தவ ருக்கிட முறைபவள் வலைமகள்

பொருப்பிலி மக்கிரி பதிபெறு மிமையவ -   ளபிராமி

பொதுற்றுதி மித்திமி நடமிடு பகிரதி

எழுத்தறி ருத்திரி பகவதி கவுரிகை

பொருட்பய னுக்குரை யடுகிய சமைபவள் - அமுதாகச்

செகத்தைய கத்திடு நெடியவர் கடையவள்

அறத்தைவ ளர்த்திடு பரசிவை குலவதி

திறத்தமி ழைத்தரு பழையவ ளருளிய - சிறியோனே    

புகைத்து அழலைக் கொடு திரிபுரம் எரிபட நகைத்தவருக்கு இடம் உறைபவள் -   ஒரு சின்ன புன்னகையால் திரிபுரத்தை எரித்தவரின் இடப்பக்கம் அமர்ந்தவள் 

வலைமகள் - சிவபெருமானின் 64 திருவிளையாடல்களில்  57 -வது  திருவிளையாடலில் சக்தி மீனவர் மகளாகப் பிறந்தார்   

பொருப்பில் இமக்கிரி பதி பெறும் இமையவள் - மலைகளின் அரசன் இமையன் (ஹிமவான்) பெற்ற மகள், மலைகளின் அரசியானவள்.

அபிராமி - மிகவும் அழகானவள்; மகிழ்ச்சியைத் தருபவள், ஆனந்த ரூபமானவள்.

பொது உற்று திமி திமி என நடமிடு பகீரதி - இந்த பூமி பயனடைய கங்கை நதியாக கீழிறங்கி திமி திமி என்ற தாள ஜதியில் ( நதியோசையை குறிப்பிடுகிறார்) நடனமிடுபவள் 

எழுத்தறி ருத்திரி - பிரணவப் பொருளை உணர்ந்த தெளிந்த ருத்திரனின் தேவி

பகவதி - ஆதி தேவியானவள்

கௌரிகை  - அழகான வெளிர் நிறத்தவள் 

பொருள் பயனுக்கு உரை அடுகிய சமைபவள் - சிவபெருமான் (பொருள் => அரும் பொருள் => பிரணவம்) பிரணவமானால், அப்பிரணவத்தின் பொருளாக ( பயன் => அர்த்தம்) அமர்ந்து இருப்பவள்

அமுதாகச் செகத்தை அகத்து இடு நெடியவர்க்கு கடையவள் - தனது மனதுக்கு இதமானவளாக பூதேவியை ( செகத்தை) தன் மனதில் இருத்திய நெடியவரான திருமாலின் தங்கையாகப் பிறந்தவள்.

அறத்தை வளர்த்திடு பரசிவை - உலகில் நீதியையும் அன்பையும் வளர்த்திடும் சிவனின் சக்தியானவள்.

குலவதி - குலப் பெருமை மிகுந்தவள்.

திறத் தமிழைத் தரு பழையவள் அருளிய சிறியோனே -  இத்தகையத் தொன்மையான ஆதிபராசக்தி பெற்ற, சிறந்த தமிழை எங்களுக்கு ஈந்த குழந்தை வடிவான முருகனே..

meaning:

pukaiththu azhalaik kodu thiripuram eripada nakaiththavarukku idam uraibaval - the evil thiripuram was demolished and destroyed by merely a smile from Lord Shiva. And Devi is always on the left of such great god.
valaimakal - Devi came down to earth as a fisherman's daughter during the 57th of the Lord Shiva's 64 divine acts.
poruppil imakkiri pathi perum imaiyaval - She is Imayavalli, the daughter of Himavaan, greatest King of the of all mountains
abiraami - She is exquisitely beautiful;
pothu utru thimi thimi ena nadamidu bakirathi - she came down to earth as River Ganga ( where author proclaims the current of ganges river as the sound of Devi's dance to meter of Thimithimi) for the sake of the wellness of he people.
ezhuththari ruththiri - She knows the meaning of pranava and is the consort of Rudran
bagavathi - she is the Initial source of power
gowrikai - she known as Gowri for her fair complexion
porul payanukku urai adugiya samaibaval - She stands merged with Lord Siva as the thatva ( core meaning) merges with pranava ( the brahmam)
amuthaakach chegaththai akaththu idu nediyavarkku kadayaval - She is the younger sister of the Lord Narayana ( the name nediyavan given to him due he grew taller the all the worlds in his vaamanavathara) who is always in favour and in love with Bhoothevi ( earth)
araththai valarththidu parasivai - she preserves Dharma in this world.
kulavathi - she has distinguished lineage
thirath thamilait tharu pazhaiyaval aruliya chiriyone - he is the Primeval and ancient principle in the form of Goddess Uma; and She kindly delivered You (who gave us the best language ,Tamil) as Her child, Oh Lord!
